and the most beautiful scene is FUJI flower and tree in patio.
old japanse style archetecture is very dark inside.
so it has patio because of getting daylight.
so the FUJI flower and tree looks like getting spot light.
the way of setting FUJI tree make tree more impressive.
the light purple color of FUJI flower looks noble and elegant.
TAWARAYA has less than 10 rooms.
so it doesn’t have huge lobby like western style hotels.
but it has several rooms that we can use like lobbyies.
it is good for us because it is like a chartered lobby.
the atomosphere of inside is like a WABI-SABI.
WABI-SABI means no decoration and very simple.
it is orignally from tea style of the artist “SEN-NO-RIKYU”.
the wall of inside is made by mad.
but if you see details,you can see many type of mad.
so every corridor have diffrerent atomosphere.
the public spaces are 2 rooms,1 library, and 1 study room
that you can enter only night time.
every public rooms are like chartered rooms.
i mean that you never meet other customer in public space!
i don’t know why. this is a mystery of TAWARAYA.
the entrance.the carpet is “NABESHIMA DANTSU”.
it is very expensive and historical carpet.
it costs about 12,000$.
every furnishing are vuluable.and some paintings are priceless.
there is an art object under the “BYOBU”.
(BYO-BU is japanese traditional patition)
the art object was given by a priest who came to TAWARAYA.
it is an imitation of camellia. kyoto people love seasons.
the entrance looks like “CHA-SHITSU(japanese tea room)”.
The pillars,doors,and walls,the feel of materials are very soft.
it makes you be relax.
this patio has a perfect selection. it’s cool and elegant !
each of flooring and walls are different materials.
flooring is made with woods,stones,carpet, and so on.
a relief is put in the wall.we can enjoy the feeling of material
that paintings don’ have.
the walls are made with mad.
the inside is very dark.but the dark makes me feel relax.
it likes inside of cave.
the end of corridor, there is another patio.
every rooms have patio.
